Modern Slavery Statement

Modern Slavery Statement

Traffic QLD & NSW are committed to operating our business lawfully and ethically, and we only work with suppliers that align with our values. We expect our suppliers to comply with all applicable modern slavery laws, including those prohibiting human slavery, slavery-like practices, human trafficking, and child labour. We value and adhere to all laws regarding corporate social responsibility, environmental protection, workplace safety, and staff inclusion and diversity, particularly as we provide essential services in traffic management and emergency response.

Our supply chain is relatively simple, focusing on the purchase of products and services necessary for the day-to-day operations of our traffic control services, specifically for Temporary Traffic Management. Traffic QLD & NSW’s Finance & Administration and People & Culture teams have established various policies that support our daily operations, ensuring that all staff and suppliers uphold our core values.

Particular steps we will undertake include:

- Assessing potential modern slavery risks in our operations and supply chains, with an emphasis on high-risk geographical locations and business transactions related to traffic management.

- Developing and reviewing company policies on modern slavery in our operations and supply chains.

- Creating training for staff on modern slavery requirements relevant to traffic control and emergency response.

- Preparing to conduct due diligence on both local and global supply chains.

- Reviewing supplier contracts to ensure they contain terms consistent with the Act.

- Taking steps to address any potential modern slavery risks identified.

- Setting up a program to measure effectiveness through performance monitoring.
